Baron Black Wants To Keep Atlantas Flame Burning For TERMINUS 2

is very well aware that Terminus is establishing an identity not just in Atlanta but across the whole wrestling landscape. will take place this Thursday, February 24 in the ATL (tickets here), but will once again air on FITE TV as a follow-up to their January 16 inaugural event. Black is co-promoter with best friend Jonathan Gresham and The EmpBruh took some time to speak with WrestleZone’s Dominic DeAngelo regarding the duo’s first run and what fans can expect from the follow-up.

“I’m very happy with what we have done so far,” Black said. “The first show was officially sold out and FITE TV PPV did pretty well – very well – to say the least and snow storm be damned, we still put on a hell of a show and we were very proud with the match-ups and how the show went.”

Gresham and Black botha had a goal of bringing a pro wrestling identity back to the city of Atlanta and he thinks the two took a big step in the righ direction

“I feel like we definitely accomplished that. I feel like the fans think we definitely accomplished that,” he said, expressing the positive feedback received by the fans in attendance. “One of the common comments that I heard after I talked with some of the fans after the show was over is like, they were thanking us. They were thanking me, they were thanking Gresham, they were thanking us and they said, ‘Thank you for bringing wrestling back to Atlanta, we’re excited again. I cannot wait,’ and that’s exactly what we wanted to hear. We wanted the fans to be ignited, we wanted to hear them be excited for pro wrestling again and I think we accomplished that and I still get messages from people who was like, ‘Yeah, I can’t wait for the next show, I can’t wait for the next show.'”

Terminus didn’t just catch the ardent fan’s eye either.

“It’s peaked a lot of interest,” he said. “It also peaked a lot of interest of very important business people in Atlanta who have been in contact with me so it has reached a broad amount of people. There might be some other great things happening in Atlanta pro wrestling-wise down the line.”

Being their first stab at running a wrestling show, the snow storm wasn’t the only challenge that Gresham and Black both encountered. The two also happened to fight on the card as well. DeAngelo asked Black about what he took away from wearing both the promoter’s cap and the wrestling boots.

“If you think you’re prepared, prepare more,” he said. “That pretty much falls under everything.”

For Terminus 2, Black and Gresham have already underwent several talent changes, but the two have showed their savvy at delivering fans the “must-see” on the card. Terminus 2 lost Josh Alexander due to pending visa issues and Lio Rush to lingering injury, but the dynamic duo called impressive audibles by replacing Alexander with Motor City’s own Chris Sabin and Rush with “The American Wolf” Davey Richards. The latter will be featured in one of the headline bouts as Richards will face one of wrestling’s hottest free agents today in Sw3rve The Realest. In addition to that, both Black and Gresham will be competing once more. Baron will be taking on AEW’s Jay Lethal while Gresham will once more defend his ROH Original World Championship against Santana of Inner Circle. You can check out the full card below:
